Navy & White
What a treat to be back at the Lafayette Club one year after my daughter's wedding, this time working with the same florist on a Lake Minnetonka bride's wedding!
The bride chose a nautical theme of navy and white with gold accents. She loved the look of the blush & gold wedding we had designed, and chose to use many of the same mercury glass and mirrored pieces in our inventory. Again, the entry to "Peacock Alley" featured a hand-painted welcome sign on canvas, created to match the couple's stationery, in our 24 x 36" gilded frame on an iron easel. The bride didn't like the standard brown chairs in the Lafayette ballroom but didn't want to splurge on Chivari chairs, so we sourced an incredible deal on white stretch chair covers. They instantly transformed the room into a sea of elegance. The tablecloths from Festivities were a delicious navy matte satin. To set the head table apart, we chose a white satin pintuck cloth and wrapped each chair with a navy satin tie. Gold chargers on the head table also set it apart.
In the ballroom, our huge mirrored risers took center stage on the head table, and eight similar tall floral arrangements on matching risers were positioned around the ballroom to fill the vertical space. The remaining guest tables held elegant mercury gold compotes with flowers. All tables featured a generous sprinkling of votives from our huge collection.
